* 6:30 pm Lojong Tibetan Mind Training – What is it and how can we use it?

Thursday  February 26

* 6: 30pm Chay Drol Ceremony for Well-Being and to Remove Negativity. 

Friday February 27

* 10am Aging, Death, Rebirth – a presentation by the monks on the Buddhist perspective

* 6:30pm “Monks and Momos” Benefit Dinner – Tibetan stuffed dumplings prepared by the monks!

Saturday February 28

* 10am Butter Sculpture Workshop and Tibetan Calligraphy Demonstration – All ages and family friendly. 

Newport Public Library, 35 NW Nye Street

* 7pm Tibetan Cultural Night: Chöd Ceremony for Removing Obstacles w/Tibetan chant & music, followed by the unique “Monastic Debate” demonstration and Audience Q&A.

Sunday March 1

* 10am Eight Verse Mind Training: A practice for transforming adversity into spiritual practice.

* 2pm Manjushri Empowerment

* 4pm Manjushri Sand Mandala Dissolution Ceremony

All events are walk up (no ticket required – except Monks & Momos dinner) and open to the public on a suggested donation basis. See website for specifics.

All proceeds raised go to housing, medical, and education facilities at Gaden Shartse Phukhang Monastery, and are tax-deductible.
