Public viewing of Sand Mandala 9am – 5pm daily.

* 6pm Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig in Tibetan) Sand Mandala Opening & Heart Sutra Puja*
Wednesday February 18
* 6pm Tsok Offering for Wisdom & Overcoming Obstacles*
Thursday February 19
* 6pm Green Tara Puja for Compassionate Action & Enlightenment*
Friday February 20
* 10am – Lojong Tibetan Mind Training: What is it and how can we use it?
* 7pm – Avalokiteshvara Empowerment Ceremony for Great Compassion
Saturday February 21
* 10am Butter Sculpture Workshop & Tibetan Calligraphy Demonstration – All ages & family fun!
* 7pm Tibetan Cultural Night: Chöd Ceremony for Removing Obstacles w/ Tibetan chant & music, followed by the unique “Monastic Debate” demonstration and Audience Q&A.
Sunday February 22
* 12:30pm Off-Site in WALDPORT: St. Luke By the Sea Episcopal Church (1353 Hwy 101 South)
Lunch with the Monks, followed by Peace & Compassion Guided Meditation.
Open to the Public.
* 4pm Avalokiteshvara/Chenrezig Sand Mandala Dissolution Ceremony
* Losar, or Tibetan Lunar New Year, is celebrated on February 18th – 20th this year. The “Tsok Offering”, “Heart Sutra Puja” and “Green Tara Puja” are special Losar rituals presented only in Yachats.
All events are walk up (no ticket required) and open to the public on a suggested donation basis. See website for details.
All proceeds go to housing, medical, and education facilities at Gaden Shartse Phukhang Monastery, and are tax-deductible.
